During inspection nothing leaves your machine — the entire viewer runs locally in your browser. When you click Save to Cloud (Pro), files are uploaded to MeshAnalyzer's own encrypted server storage and listed under View My Cloud Files in the app.
It runs a full topology repair, not just a clean-up: (1) welds coincident vertices within a tolerance derived from the bounding box, closing the float-precision "open edges" most STLs ship with; (2) drops degenerate and duplicate triangles; (3) strips non-manifold fins — stray faces where three or more triangles share one edge; (4) closes every remaining hole, choosing per hole between ear-clipping and a centre fan depending on which produces better-shaped triangles; (5) re-orients flipped faces by comparing how neighbouring triangles traverse their shared edge, so inverted normals are genuinely corrected rather than just re-shaded. Afterwards a Before vs After report shows the exact numbers, and the patched areas are highlighted in green on your model. If a repair would leave the mesh worse than it started, it is rolled back automatically.
Yes. Open the app, click your profile avatar (top-right) → Manage subscription. This opens PayPal where you cancel the MeshAnalyzer subscription. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period, then drop to the free tier automatically.
Refunds are available within 24 hours of upgrading. Email support@meshanalyzer.app from your account email within 24 hours and we'll process the refund. After 24 hours, refunds are no longer possible — but you can cancel anytime to stop future billing.
Yes. Pro share links work for anyone — they open a polished read-only 3D viewer in the recipient's browser with rotate / zoom / wireframe controls and a download button. They don't need a MeshAnalyzer account.
